Ordained in 1828; Ph.D., Erlangen, 1828; Chief Rabbi of Oldenberg, 1829, of Hanover, 1830, of London. 1844; took part in founding Jews' College London; made proposal that resulted in United Synagogue Bill, 1870.

Mission / Purpose

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Kansas City was established to provide Jewish family historians in the Kansas City metropolitan area  a forum to meet and colaborate with others and to share experiences in collecting their families' history.

JGSGKC meetings are usually held on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 PM, January through October.
